When will water level prediction software be available?
The water level prediction software will be available after the first year of data collection. This timeframe allows the AI to analyze trends and patterns within the data, enabling it to develop a reliable model for forecasting future water levels.
What happens if a sensor stops functioning?
If any sensor-related component stops working, we will visit the site to evaluate the issue. We will start evaluation within 48 hours.
Are floodCam’s photo intervals configurable?
Yes! Everything is configurable on your end. Head to the configuration bar in the top of floodCenter. There, you can edit the capture interval (1800 seconds by default), configure image size and switch modes.
What are the modes for floodCam in floodCenter?
There are two modes to choose from, test and normal. In test mode, the device never goes to sleep, meaning it can always take photos and it is constantly configurable. This is great for testing certain configurations.
Normal mode allows the device to go to sleep and is very energy efficient. How often it wakes up and takes a photo depends on the interval config. Changes made will only be seen and adopted by a sensor in normal mode when it wakes up.
What do I have to install on my property and how do I install it?
The installation process varies by location. However, in most cases, if these requirements are not already met at the sensor site, you will need to install mounting poles for the camera and ultrasonic sensors and ensure an area with sufficient sunlight for optimal solar panel performance.
If you are using the ultrasonic sensor, you will also have to position a LoraWAN gateway at a high point at your office and connect it to WiFi. This will allow your computer to receive data from the ultrasonic sensor.
How far can the floodCam solar panel be from the floodCam?
The solar panel can be 10 feet away from floodCam.
What are the mounting options for the floodSonic gateway?
Mount the floodSonic gateway in a high open place. It also needs power over ethernet (PoE). The ethernet cable can be a maximum of 100 meters long.
What are the power requirements for the floodSonic gateway?
The floodSonic gateway can be powered by a DC voltage anywhere between 4.5 V and 17 V.
